Welcome to the World of Collage!

Learn the methods developed by Laura Heine of Fiberworks from a Laura Heine Certified Instructor. With these proven methods, your imagination, and creativity using a variety of fabrics, you will create a one-of-a-kind collage quilt. Bonus, you don’t need your sewing machine for class! This is sew much fun and is so addictive. You’ll be looking at your scraps in a whole new way!

Laura Heine has created a number of amazing collage patterns. For this event, we ask that you select from the following three patterns:

• Group #1 (Dress, Fish, & Elephant)
• Group #2 (Fox, Cow & Truck)
• Group #5 (Pincushion, Dress form, & Sewing Machine)

This will allow everyone to learn the techniques, so you'll be ready to tackle any pattern in the future. 

Bring your own fabric or purchase a kit that includes the fabric, Steam a Seam 2, and Pattern Ease you need to make one collage. Kits are available for the dress (group 1), Truck (group 2), or Dress form (group 5). Kits will be cut to order and must be requested at least a week before the event. 

By the end of the workshop, your collage quilt will be all fused in place. You'll just need to go home and add some some quilting to secure everything. The instructor recommends a cross hatching - so quilting couldn't be easier!
